It appears that the Autumn colors were nice up north. I especially like the driftwood with the red flowers but I love dead wood and driftwood anyway.

In photos 3, what kind of old tree is that? It isn't a type of birch is it? I've never seen birch grow that big. I am also noticing how the bark is falling off in places. That reminds me of old cottonwood trees but their leaves are huge.

it is thin sick seaside birch
twisted with wind and ill with lichen
normal for salted and winter wind unprotected territory

Some delicate forest photos. Even the grass loks like a forest :)

I like the water one best. Also the lichen on the rock.
