I think my favorite part of the description, by the way, is the complete and utter passivity of the protagonist. In any other adventure game, you take on the role of someone who defeats the horde of zombies or conquers the earth. Whereas in the Barbie adventure game, your grand achievement is to be "rescued by Prince Antonio." You don't even take care of yourself on the island in the meantime - you are "raised by a family of animal friends".
I think it would cooler if the protagonist were "raised by a family of animal friends to be their dinner" -- it doesn't say that they're your friends....
I assume that's exactly how the game is played, too.
"You put together a non-matching outfit! And you failed to find a decent lipstick substitute among the island plants! Prince Antonio calls you fugly, and sails off to find a prettier marooned girl on another island, leaving you to die alone. Play Again (Y/N)"
I don't quite understand - what algorithm failed here?
Oh! I get it! You purchased the Barbie Fairytopia: Magic of the Rainbow DVD, not Barbie as the Island Princess DVD, so you don't want the Island Princess *game*! A common misunderstanding. Don't worry, I'm sure a Fairytopia game will be out soon enough. :)
