I have but one thing to say.

RUN RATTRAP RUN!

okay, maybe more than one thing, but thats my main point.

Your Megatron is scary. It's not that he's wontonly desctructive, or that he's a T-rex, or that he has big scary minions. It's that he's intelligent and focused. He works out what is going on, and then plans around it. Any other Megatron practically goes 'Shiny! Want!" when this Megatron goes "Hmmm. Shiny. Can I use it in any fashion, or should I destoy it." He's clinical and scary. I find that much worse than the orginal Megatron who was a brute-force character.

The rest of the predacons are in character and mildly insane. I loved the bicker/argument/fight between Terrorsaur and Blackarachnia.

Waspinator is the sanest Predacon on Earth (unless you count Dinobot). This makes me truly sad. But it's great fun to write.

It's especially fun to write Megatron, who's both extremely smart and completely nuts. I mean, he starts off the chapter beating Terrorsaur for NO REASON other than that the mission went poorly and he wants to hurt someone (and Terrorsaur is his least favorite). He ends it gathering clues in the rain like a regular sleuth, and with the beginnings of an evil plan already forming in his head. Really, he shifts so fast it's damn scary, even to me.

My namesake must have had at least one mech in ten who could tell his CPU from his exhaust port, but I seem to lack his fortune!"

That's not what the original Megatron would say...

She'd been enjoying the quiet, and with Megatron out for a stroll, it would be even more enjoyable. Add Tarantulas and that nosy ant in CR and it was almost a perfect day.

You know, I do believe she baited Terrorsaur on purpose to get him and Waspy to bugger off for awhile. ;)

I love Megatron's intuition and deductive reasoning at the scene of the battle. It shows that there's so much more to him than just brute force. It makes him twice as formidable too.

That's what akisawana said when I showed her this. "He is vastly overestimating the original Megatron's minions." :P

Blackarachnia knows what she's doing. I swear, the girl has more thoughts in her CPU than the rest of the base, at least while Megatron's out for a stroll. (Also, "bugger off" is an all-too-apt choice of words...)

OK, Megatron is damned scary here. He's SMART and he figured out a lot from one clue. Rattrap, you need to be careful. You just got a big target stamped on you...

Each chapter gets better and better. You're creating a world here that I'm loving hard. I really can't convey well how happy I get when I see an update on my flist.

It's obvious, if you know
If you've watched them
If you've heard them
It's obvious, if you know
It's in what's not there
The lack of corpses, booby-traps
The things not said, challenges unanswered.
It's clear, if you watch.
No two people could truly hate this much
Hate consumes, and this strengthens
The bond almost visible to the naked eye.
And this is war, and the chips are down
And there are a thousand chances not taken
A thousand deaths fought back
A thousand times the truth must come out
A thousand times damn who sees,
The truth comes out.

My namesake must have had at least one mech in ten who could tell his CPU from his exhaust port, but I seem to lack his fortune!"

Yes, Megatron, but they were all trying to kill him.
He couldn't very well intervene on Terrorsaur's behalf, not if he wanted to be intact to help fix him later.

PREDACOND FRIENDSHIP SUCKS.
(Then again, Megatron seldom bothered taking out any frustration on Waspinator. The rest of the universe seemed to more than make up for it.)

With those two, it is pretty much what you don't see happening that tells all. I especially like the "lack of corpses". That's pretty damn telling in itself, when you consider their history.

Clearly, Megatron has forgotten Starscream. Or conveniently chosen to disregard his existence.

POOR WASPINATOR. Poor Terrorsaur too, but he actually seems less aware of the sadness of the situation...

Megatron? Egotistic? Maniacal? NOOOOO. Not at all.

YOU'RE WELCOME. If it helps, he gave the author some serious chills too. As for Rattrap, I don't even want to think about it. Actually, I fear for both of them right now.

Well Megs didn't know who Starscream was when his ghost showed up. Only Dinobot and Black Arachnia seemed to twig, and I suspect BA found some of Dinobot's old reading material that he'd left behind.

From a social point of view it would make sense that the Maximals would try to repress as much Decepticon history as possible.

Or Megatron is just BATSHITFUCKINGINSANE. Or both. You do have a valid point there!
