One of our cats, Alvy, has decided to go on a little adventure and wandered off. After walking along half the window ledges down our street last night, he's gone missing - which as he's never been away for more than a night before is more than a little worrying. Just spent 50 minutes reminding my upper body muscles that they exist. I got up later than I wanted to this morning, as I meant to get up for 8 and instead it was closer to 9.30 - eek! I can't get into that habit, it would be terrible for me. Discipline!!!

My first day out of gainful employment and into the merry world of freelancing, and it was a cross between being at work, working at home, and not working. I did a few emails to let people know I'm on the market. I harassed someone to commission me for something. Relaxed today. No more work (or at least no more going into work), and had a mini-barbecue with Claire. Now I'm loafing around on the sofa and feeling like a little nap.

I much prefer not posting via a Web interface, so I'm pleased to find Xjournal, which looks like a cool new client for Mac OS X.

It's a long while since I updated this - again. This is a space for personal things and I don't do personal things... you all know that right? But anyway, here I am. I've quit my job, and I have only two weeks of my notice left. There's a million things that I need to do. Tense about it all, tense and wondering.

Weirdly in control today. But time for bed now.

I haven't updated this LJ for a long time. Most of the action has been on Ludicrous, but that's all smart-ass stuff rather than anything else. So back to here we come. More later.
