i like the top pic a lot, were you using any filter to get the lights to star like that?

no filter, I just used an f-stop of around 10 I believe and that's what creates the effect.

No, I wish I did do my own developing. It's something I've always wanted to learn but never have. Plus I have no space to set up a dark room right now even if I did know how.
