Specifically, my numerous Amtrak trips between New York and Boston this year have put me in Amtrak's Select membership tier, meaning I now earn even more points now for using Amtrak. Oh, and I get free luggage tags.

I don't think you can be a train nerd untill you own the complete Sid Mier's Railroad Tycoon series and own the trains DVD advertised on [adult swim].

Oh I have a ways to go, for sure. I also have yet to take up an interest in model railroading. But I think I'm gonna save that for when I'm old. In the meantime, my next train-nerdy purchase will probably be Tracks of the New York City Subway.

that's awesome! i'm so excited about the new credit card, but the lagging months between the two cards screwed me a bit so i'm only up to 1,987 points right now.

Yeah I thought about transferring the balance from my old card to the new one before I paid it off so I could earn points on it, but then I didn't bother, and I kind of regret it.

I got a Facebook message from John about him sending one, but I haven't received it. I'm a little worried that it got sent to my old address. But I'm still keeping my eye out.

actually you don't get points for balance transfers, i asked about that.
didn't you fill out a change of address form? if so, your mail from your old address should get forwarded to brooklyn.
