                I would highly recommend the film Half-Nelson; it is an independent picture but a great one. It depicts the struggles a teacher goes through to get through to his kids, the hardships he endures while trying against impossible odds to help his students learn. I have never seen this film, but after reading your post, I am fully convinced that this would be a great movie to show a future class. And the fact that it has Ryan Gosling in it also says something great about it.
