I have to wonder if the nickname The Boy is in response to The Boy calling himself an old man. :P Cute!
Okay, okay, I may have to participate in the next secret pal thing, if there is another one... it seems like fun! And it may get me knitting again (I'm in more than one life rut, apparently starting with SSS just before Christmas).
I think The Boy is just the universal nickname when, for one reason or another, you don't want to use your boyfriend's name. And I have a thing about trying not to use people's names in public posts (unless, you know, it's someone else with a LJ).
Although there was a customer the other day who asked him, "How old are you, like 20?" and he was like, "Uhhh.. no, 24.." So apparently he does not seem so old to other people. =P
*Hugs* *Gives moral support for the frogging* You can do it! Be strong! Eat chocolate!
And ohmygosh. Plain vanilla stockinette socks out of Lorna's Laces would probably be my answer to that question too. You can never have too many plain ol' socks, and knitting them is just zen-like. Mmm.
