That's EXACTLY what I was feeling and thinking when I wrote that part. That no matter how much I assert myself, no matter how much I insist my independence, I will always take the shape or take part in the identity of the person that I love.
Sometimes, it's a good thing. And sometimes, it hurts because no matter how you fight it, you will always be seeing your beloved in you. Somewhere there. Tangible yet intangible.
