What can be done

I just wonder what more can be done right now, realisticly speaking. I mean virtually everyone can vote, racism isn't as strong. It still exists but it's not as strong. I hope more can be done about that, but if that discusion is ever brought up in front of some of my family members I get yelled at and they try to give me statistics stating that a ( Read more... )

ever notice that when you feel inspired it only last a short while...I get inspired to do shit in my ap government class and my ap lit. class all the time cause we talk about real issues, and I always want to do something, but when I do, it only last for awhile...I was thinking about the live strong bracelets today and how they had such a big impact...I dont see anyone wear them anymore...I wear mine...but who still wears them...? do you?

No i'm usually prett enthusiastic over things, I just don't have the resources to do anything. Livestrong bracelets just infuriated me, I didn't really notice much of a movement on those, lots of people thought it was "for sports". And I gave you my bracelet, so no I don't wear mine, lol. I see plenty of people wearing them but then I wonder how many know what it means and for how many is it "just a bracelet"?

When you say fair taxation, is that going along the lines of social security and welfare? Death hasn't really been an issue that hits me hard, I don't feel it's up to me to decide who lives and who dies, that And I don't really know the statitistics of crime in florida right now but I guess i'm sheltered right now cause I don't see anything too bad right now.

How exactly has it failed in your eyes, i'm curious. I've heard people who are upset with this. What are it's major downfalls in your eyes?

I'm not going to lie, we all know the stresses of the public schools. I've been yelled at by teachers for thinking outside the box on projects. I've seen idiotic teachers being allowed to teach for fear of lawsuits. I don't know though I think it'd be a bit much to give young children too much to consider education wise, because if they have general field studys that they're interested in, what if they change their minds, they can't make up for it like you can with college. I mean in high school maybe. True students don't learn anything of true value, and that goes along with the FCAT and other tests of its caliber.
