I remember getting the call from my husbands co-worker. The voice in my head reflected the excitement in her voice once she told me that we have been ordered by the army that we had to move to Sacramento, California. I know we had plenty of friends here at New York City, but there was plenty of excitement for moving. My husband found out a day later, he was mad, but got overwhelmed by the excited he had for meeting Ian and Anthony after leaving 6 years ago.

Now its been three days since the call, 1 more day to pack until we leave. We are still packing the stuff we need to live at California, dropping off the things we don’t need at Goodwill and our Church. James and I were rushing our children to pack their stuff, while we were packing as well. Our thirty year old legs couldn’t handle all of this speed walking, but it was worth it since we both were impatient to meet our old friends. We loved, and missed they way Ian and Anthony had us smile 90% of the time. I could tell James was already ready  While I was packing, I was just standing by fast-paced James daydreaming. I was dreaming about Ian and Anthony’s wedding day. Ian was walking down the isle, Anthony staring at Ian’s beautiful blue eyes through all the flower pedals thrown by some of the flower girls. I saw Ian and Anthony’s hands connect once Ian finally got up the stairs where his fiance was idiotically, yet heart-melting smile. After the vows, the words we have all been waiting for has came. “You may kiss the bri-” Ian and Anthony quickly kissed cutting off the words of the priest. “HELLO?! EARTH TO NICOLE!” James screamed. I quickly waked up from my daydream.

“STRING DEMONS! Oh! Oh, sorry..” I quickly faced the floor embarrassed of the goofy words I just said, and I started packing once again.

“Were you daydreaming about Ian and Anthony again?” It was like James could read my mind.

“Yea, to be specific, their wedding” I replied. James smiles and nods and starts packing with me again.

Nicole and I checked up on our 4 year old daughter Stacy. We spotted the squished up Barbie dolls in one of her suitcases. We both silently chuckled and took a majority of the dolls out with Stacy’s approval. She had more dolls in her suitcase than the stuff she actually needs. Afterwards we checked on our 5 year old son Mike (I just thought about Magic Mike o_o) and he was silent and calm as usual, which was rare, since he breaks down and starts sobbing every time something reminds him of it. Nicole was always feeling bad for him, Mike made great friends over the years from living at NYC. We saw that his suitcases were already packed nicely. That was surprising since Mike owned more stuff than us. We left him alone so we wouldn’t see him sob again.

Ian P.O.V

I was sitting on Anthony’s lap on our tan couch leaning my forehead on his. I look at his lips that has already formed that cute smile that I have known since sixth grade. I could feel his hot breath against mine. I gave him a quick, but soft peck at his lips. I couldn’t resist, but I could tell he loves it when his cheeks turn rose red during and after our kisses. I just loved everything about my fiance. But the tune of Nyan Cat broke into our romantic stares and I noticed that was still my ringtone. I noticed James was calling and I answered.

“Hey dude! I haven’t talked to you in a while!” I said as a reply to a simple “Hello?”

James immediately answers, “Yea, I know right! Hows Smosh working out?”

“Its great! Thanks for asking! But do you want to talk to Anthony? Im going to start cleaning the house a bit.”

“Sure!” Ian hands his phone to Anthony.

“Hey man!”

“Yo Anthony!” James says like a ghetto person.

“Wassup Homie?” Anthony follows what he is doing.

“Nun. Just helping Stacy and Nicole pack.” James returns to talking normal.

“Ladies, huh? They always take long getting ready!” He chuckles.

“I know right! I just hoped they would hurry up! Haha”

“Oh, and we found some available homes two blocks away from our house!” Anthony informed.

“Awesome!”

“Anthony! Can you help me with cleaning?” Ian yells across the house breaking their conversation.

“Sure Babe!” He replies. “Sorry dude, I have to help Ian with cleaning, but see you tomorrow?”

“Its okay, and yea. Tomorrow. Don’” Anthony hangs up and puts Ian’s phone down on the coffee table.

“Woo! I can’t wait to get in our plane! How long is the flight again?”

“About seven hours! Make sure the kids are awake, too.” James replied with a slight yawn.

I check their rooms, and all the other rooms too. They’re all empty, plain, and quiet. I kept imagining all the furniture still sitting there. I shed a tear. I was heartbroken inside since we were moving just like Mike. I knew we couldn’t just leave the friends we just met in NYC.

“James?” I continue, “Can we visit our friends one last time?”

“Everyone is planning to come in five minutes so then can say their last goodbyes.” But the doorbell rings right after he finishes his sentence.

“Lets change that to right now..” James exclaimed awkwardly. Nicole opens their front door with a fake smile smile to hide the tears she just made seconds ago.

Everyone they knew were all there, Bob, Caitlyn, Celina, Frank, Elizabeth, and 50 other people standing beside and behind them. They all quickly walked inside and said their goodbyes. My empty house was crowded with all my friends. I saw all the little kids crowding Mike and Stacy, James’ co workers and his other friends, and everyone else is talking about all this shit with me. I got used to it, but I am going to miss being slightly annoyed by my friends.

After everyone was finished saying their goodbyes, we had to leave in 20 minutes.

“Bye guys! We will miss and cherish our memories that we have shared for the past 6 years.” Everyone leaves, waving back at us with our suitcases by our side. James checks if everyone has their stuff, while I check if the house is clean and empty. We finally got into the taxi that will take us to the airport. As we drive away, the house gets smaller and smaller each second we drive. Then I looked at Mike, he suddenly shed a tear that went down his soft cheek.

“Look Mike, it is going to be okay, you always wanted to meet Ian and Anthony right?”

“Y-yeah.. But n-not this w-way..” He looked down as he was talking to hide his struggle to talk while crying. I stood silent and then I just hugged him really tight, which is a way of saying that it’s going to be alright.

After 30 minutes of eating a quick breakfast, we finally got into our plane. The plane was really big! As we sat down, I was surprised how comfy the chairs were, last time I went on a plane was six years ago! I was even more excited when we were starting to take off.

Bye-bye New York.
Finally! Its done! Let me know what you think about it :D
