Big-Ass Announcement, October's Monthly Challenge, and We Have a Winner!
Before I move on to the new challenge of the month, I’ve got a REALLY big announcement to make!! [= For the next three months, every entry into the Monthly Challenge for October, November, and December will automatically be entered into the Ianthony is Love: Gianormous Christmas Giveaway!!

Sounds awesome, right? That’s because it is! It’s basically like the Monthly Challenge prize but instead of one (or several small things), I’ll be choosing a few “big” Smoshy prizes to give away. ;)
So far, I’ve picked the Death Blow Shirt (based on the Assassin's Creed 3 video) one of the Smosh wrist bands, and the Smosh "Gradient" Hoodie.
But the number one Smoshy prize…the gianormous prize is….-drum roll please- A poster signed by Ian and Anthony!!!
Remember when they had the signed posters for sale? I bought two in preparation for a special occasion to give one away. [= And nothing is better than a Christmas giveaway. So YOU can win Ian and Anthony’s own signatures!! ;)

Below is a mini FAQ I threw together just now so you know how the big giveaway works:
Q: How do I enter for the Ianthony is Love Gianormous Giveaway?
A: The same as you would the other contests: use the “monthly challenge” tag on your entry for the months of October, November, and December! This is how the names will be drawn so I can pick a winner.
Q: Is there a tag for the Gianormous Giveaway?
A: No, you don’t have to worry about a Ginormous tag. Just use the appropriate month’s tag and you’re automatically entered into the Giveaway.
Q: How many times can I enter the Gianormous Giveaway?
A: THREE times!!! One for each month: October, November, and December. You can enter multiple times in EACH month, but it will only count as ONE entry for that particular month. But, if you join the challenge for ALL three months, then your name gets put into the hat three times, thus making your odds of winning even better!
Q: What are the prizes for the Giveaway?
A: I posted the prizes above but if District Lines (the maker and distributor of the Smosh merchandise) adds new items, I may replace/add a few new items as well. Make sure you read the Monthly Challenge Announcement posts to find out the details of the prizes. I’ll also be taking suggestions on what prizes to give away. However, the signed poster is GUARANTEED to be in the giveaway.
Q: Will you ship internationally?
A: As with the other prizes, YES!! I will ship to any country as long as it isn’t on the “do not mail to” list for the United States.
Q: Do I still have to be 18 and/or have a parent or guardians permission?
A: YES!! ABSOLUTELY! You have to be the U.S. legal age of 18 or have your parent’s/guardian’s permission in order to WIN. Anyone can enter. The contest is for fun, not so you feel pressured to write/draw/sew something. As a matter of fact, if you just want to enter for fun or for a challenge, make sure you tell me in the post that you are not interested in winning the prizes so I can take your name off the list of entrants.
Q: Will you still be giving prizes away for the contests in October, November, and December?
A: Yes!! I will still be giving away monthly prizes. You will also get a chance to win the Christmas prizes as well. ;)

Other Contest Info:
As with the monthly contests, ALL entries must be posted by the last day of the month at midnight, eastern time. The last day of this contest will be December 31st, 2012 (a Monday) at 12:00am Eastern Time (because it’s the time zone I live in). Any entries posted AFTER this time WILL NOT be accepted.
Everyone who enters the monthly challenge contests (with exception of those who exclude themselves) from October, November, and December will automatically have their names put in the hat for the Gianormous Giveaway. It’s a simple as that.
Also, make sure when posting your entries, to follow ALL community guidelines, which you can read about HERE! Or else, they will NOT be accepted. This goes for the regular contests as well.
The winner will have one month (until January 31st, 12:00am, Eastern Time) to PM me or comment on the “winner” announcement in order to claim the prize. Please make sure you have an adult’s permission to enter. If the winner does not claim the prize or is underage and has not been given permission, I MAY pick a new winner (at my on discretion, of course) just as I had picked the first.
When contacted by the winner, I will ask for the shirt/hoody sizes and an address. If you do not feel comfortable with giving out this information, please do not enter for a prize. I understand not wanting to give away your address to a stranger. I can’t make you feel better about it. All I can do is promise to delete the information you’ve given me as soon as I mail your items. You can also ask past prize winners and confirm that I haven’t sent them anything else or shared the information with any other persons.
The items may take a while to arrive because:
- District Lines doesn’t always have the items on hand, thus placing the order I’ve made on hold. You will be notified if the item is not in their possession so I can give you a time frame for when the prizes will be sent.
- District Lines tends to ship v…e…r…y slowly. It’s annoying!
- If you live outside of the U.S. the package MUST pass through your country’s customs. I’m not sure how long it will take but from what I’ve heard, anywhere from one week to one month.
- I will have to order AFTER the contest because some of the prizes are shirts and I want them to be able to fit you.
- My job takes priority. Rest assured I will mail them as soon as humanly possible but sometimes my job does hinder me from doing what I want to do. Please understand I have other responsibilities that may be more immediate.
The most important part of this is to have fun! We all love Ian and Anthony and I’m sure we all love this community full of helpful/wonderful people. That’s why I like giving away prizes! Don’t feel bad about not winning because guess what? We have another prize to giveaway. ;)
First, let me explain what we’ll be writing/drawing/cosplaying about! Since it’s the month of All Hallow’s Eve, I like to do something Halloween related. Last year was costumes and disguises but I thought I’d make it a little more fun and title this one “Masks”. It’s sort of similar but the word “mask” has always had a deeper, metaphorical meaning for me. People wear masks for more than just Halloween parties, and not all of them can be seen. I’m being mysterious! So I’ll just say this, write about whatever kind of mask you want to. Metaphorical, such as the way Ian acts to the audience and the way he acts around Anthony, or an actual mask; such as Anthony wearing a masquerade mask. :P It doesn’t even have to be “Halloweeny” but the door is open if you want to walk through it.
Make sure to use the tag “monthly challenge: masks” when you post your entry. This is how the names will be drawn for the prize. As I mentioned earlier, if you do NOT want a prize or don’t have parent’s or guardian’s permission, please mention this in your “Author’s Note”. Also: Follow all community guidelines when posting!!! I will ignore it, if you do not.
Ok, ok, enough of my rambling. You wanna know what the prize is. I was hoping for something more wintry but they don’t have any hoody’s yet. (Curse them).
