Just the Two of Us

For Christmas, I gave Jenny a Day Off - 24+ hours away with some of her girlfriends where I take care of Jackson. With all the stress she's been under, it seemed like a great gift to give.

Well, she's cashed it in for the next 1 1/2 days - she left today at noon:30 and will return tomorrow evening, exact hour unknown, but definitely after Little Man

Awwww you will all love this! Sometimes I need time off too. I'm glad she's getting in some girlfriend time, that does matter a lot to a mom. And it sounds like you and the little guy need some bonding time. That's awesome! He will adore the time with you!

My kids all struggle with their dad being gone so much. But in a month he will be home every evening for the first time in our married life together, and I'm excited!

Yep, we loved it! He whined a little for his momma, but overall did great! Though he only took a 30 minute nap today, which caused him to be a lot crankier this afternoon. >:(

Not to mention, I didn't even have time to shower since I was planning on doing that during his nap...

I hate to sound cliche, but you're really starting to sound like me! My showers are always at the mercy of naps and moments I can snatch for myself. And yeah, cranky kids are a real pain. Usually they go to bed earlier if they don't nap well or at all - just a thought.
