I think most of my SCA friends have heard (apparently many have known it was coming for a month now), but this weekend at 12th Night, I was made a member of the Order of the White Scarf. It is our top fencing award, and I am still needing to look at the scarf on the shelf to verify that I am not just remembering a vivid dream.

I just spent 6 minutes on hold listening to a chamber music version of the olf TRF Basse Dance.

It was very hard to stay in work mode while having flashbacks to a dance I haven't done in almost ten years.

I find this an interesting effect of my life choices.

There are monitors at work which have little news flashes. When I went to lunch, one said, "French Court hears tale of L'Oriel heiress' riches".

It wasn't until after a confused walk back to my desk that it occurred to me that they might mean a legal court.

I will still try to make it out to TRF this weekend, but I am not sure that I will be able to. I have been pretty sick since Tuesday evening, and though I am on the mend, I don't know if I will be up to it that soon.

If not I should be out for the closing weekend.

For anyone doewn south, I should be at TRF this coming weekend and Stargate fencing practice on Tuesday.

Closing weekend of TRF is possible, but not definate.

I hope to see as many of you as possible.

I will miss seeing everyone at WW, but I am off to my cousin's wedding in San Francisco.
