My husband wanted to get one. I told him to go ahead but he hasn't yet. I don't know if he would be brave enough to reprogram it though.

Rooting it was actually pretty simple once I got the idea of how it works. If you were closer, I'd say bring it to me when he gets one and I'll do it for you. It takes about 10 minutes.

If you travel up for Birka I'll be there. Just let me know in advance so I'll have the software I'd need with me.

Bit far to travel from Virginia right now, but he has to get one first anyhow. Which if I order it for him next pay day won't take too long. Thanks for the offer though.

Just a sidenote: there's an area in Finland that's still called Pirkanmaa (=Birka's land). The birkarls had a long history around here :-)
