Sheep or goat meat?

I know this is a long shot but does anyone on my friend's list near me know of a local or near-ish source for sheep or goat's meat?

You cannot find lamb in your market? Lamb is sheep. As for goat or kid, try an Hispanic market if you have one in your city. Almost every Hispanic market in California offers goat meat.

I'm specifically looking for locally raised and harvested, actually, so in the standard grocery stores where I shop, yes, but it's not grown and raised in Michigan.

You can also check localharvest.org. There are a few more goat & sheep producers there, too. Most are on the other side of the state of farther north, but not sure how far you want to go.

AH! Yes, you're right. I had completely forgotten about this website. I should have checked there first. Thankyou.

I highly recommend Turk Farms in Fenton, MI.

They sell at our local farmer's market in Brighton and everything we've tried from them is wonderful.

I can get organic goat from my favorite butcher at the North Market in C-bus, but that's probably not near enough for you.
