Hey girl dont stress, my labor wasnt really enduced but i know plenty of ppl whos was and they were fine. I had my contractions on my own but they broke my water and gave me something to speed up the labor and contraction. I was fine. I was in pain but nothing that wasnt normal. I couldnt get an epidural tho and let me tell you that shit hurts! Just try to relax:) And yes i know thats hard to do. Im excited for you. I cant wait to see pictures!

Oh and my sons birthday is January 13th so I hope you have him tomorrow too. My son is going to be 14 months. They get big so fast.

GOOD LUCK

I really hope the baby comes this weekend. I find that really strange that they want to induce labour before your due date too. But what do I know? I'll be sending you labour vibes!!

that is strange she wants to induce before the due date. the baby isn't in any distress, right? also, my friend preferred being induced. she said everything ran smoothly and was planned out. so i personaly rather be induced. i can't imagine walking in the store and bam my water breaking. i'd die. lol.

haha, yeah i know how you feel. imagine what other people would think when they saw someones water break! i dont even want to think about the embarrasment, but honestly i rather have it been induced too, because i like planned things, and it'll make the stress a lot easier!

actually the water breaking on its own is fairly rare in any case. I think its only like 17 percent of labors that the water breaks before labor starts. Induced labor IS harder than natural labor, the contractions are more intense, closer together and harder to cope with, BUT you can handle it if its necessary. Many doctors induce simply for their own convenience, and that is NOT a good thing, simply because some babies NEED that extra few days or weeks to be completely ready to meet the world, i would avoid it, unless there are real reasons to do it. If you are diabetic, if the placenta is showing signs of deteriorating, if the baby starts to LOSE weight or shows signs of distress, decrease in movement and such. Natural labor is so much easier, i know from experience, my first labor was natural, my second augmented (meaning i was having contractions and dialating but not fast enough to suit the doctors :eyeroll:: ) and my third induced, the pain, frustration, and length of time escalates from the first to the third, with the ( ... )

i agree with you, i think the baby should be allowed to let you know when the baby is ready. i'ver heard so much that induced labor pains are far worse than regukar. becuase artificial contractions dont let your body produce enough of the other hormoneswe your body and baby needs to progress thru labor normally. stick up for yourself and your baby. don't let anyone tell you something you feel isnt right. take charge of your labor.
they shouldnt induce labor unless you are 42 weeks or your water has broken without contractions starting. other than that, you should be allowed to let your body do what it wants to due. i mean, due dates are just estimate anyway unless you know the exact day you concieved. every baby is different.listen to yourself, your body and your baby. dont let anyone tell you otherwise.
i too will send you labor vibes!! good luck!! -jes
