A "singles index" and phone numbers is way more invasive than information about income. The later is already a matter of public record. In New Jersey you can look up the salary of any public employee online (for free!) through the Home News Tibune. My mom's using the site as evidence in a gender discrimination case -- which reminds me, I'm supposed to be working a program to pull information on the salaries of men from the Department of Criminal Justice from that website ^^; oops.

True...public employee is one thing...but ANY employee is another!!!

That being said...my salary is public knowledge...if you know where to look.
