So now we're suddenly living in a huge sakura tree. [A long pause, though uncharacteristically a dot of ink or two appears on the page as he almost starts to write something more before changing his mind.] Makes as much sense as anything else around here.
Koi [slight pause] -san. I think I found another one of those things you were looking for.
❧Sylvar [Juhani],

[Cloud didn't reply to Koi's comment; instead he shut his journal and went about his business of the day, helping to repair various houses and other damaged things. Wherever he was told to help out, really.
As the day turned into early afternoon, the workers were dismissed with orders to 'go eat something.' Cloud thought that was as good a chance as any to go to the tea shop, so he turned his footsteps toward the bazaar. He'd actually never been in before, though he knew where it was.
Reaching his destination, he pushed open the door and took a seat at one of the tables. He frowned a little--there was something odd about sitting so far above the ground at a table, but he couldn't put his finger on it.]

If he had known what Cloud was thinking, he would have been rather amused. Koi, too, had thought it was odd to sit on these high chairs and preferred to sit in almost automatic seiza when at home.
Managing to come up to Cloud's table, he smiled again and nodded to him.]
Welcome! What would you like to have?

Actually, I was hoping to speak with someone named Koi?

That would be me. I assume you were the one I spoke to in the journals?

That's exactly what I was looking for! Where did you find it?

In some of the wreckage the ants left, actually... one of the Section 3 houses. It caught my eye. [A slight shrug; anyone could have found it, he just so happened to find it first.]
Reply
A pity that it had to be found in the wake of the destruction, but I suppose it's one good thing from this mess. Thank you, truly.

We can rebuild. [No one died (that Cloud heard of), all the injured have recovered... life goes on.] So. Why were you looking for these? [He'll get to the tea issue in a minute, satisfying his curiosity is more important.]

[He rubs his thumb over the smooth metal of the charm and then looks at Cloud.]
It is a part of my swords. I have been collecting them for some time now, and this would be the fifth one. When I'm finished, I hope they will be usable in case of danger.

Hmmm... so they're something... from your home? [It was mostly muttered to himself, but Koi could always answer if he wanted.] Well, good luck finding them all. Now, I believe there was something about a cup of tea? [Cloud grinned a little. There was something... comforting about the question, or maybe it was the reason he was asking the question, but as usual he didn't understand what was making him feel that way.]

[He strokes his thumb over the metal again, almost entranced by the way the laughter grew stronger every time he had contact with the surface. It had never been like this before.
What did it mean?
Cloud's voice broke the 'spell' and he smiles, straightening up and putting the charm in one of his sleeves.]
Certainly! What kind of tea would you like?
Reply
...green tea. [The name/color of the tea popped into his mind right away, and he spoke before he thought about it. It just seemed right.
Interesting.]

[He nods to Cloud and then disappears for a while. A couple of minutes later he returns with a typical Japanese teapot and cup. Gently putting the cup on the table, he then moves his sleeve with his other hand and pours tea.
Things like this were embedded so deeply into his body that he did it without thinking. 2000 years of tea-drinking had its effects.]

Perfect.]
Thank you.
[[ooc: Shall we end it here?]]

[He inclined his head slightly to Cloud with another smile, and then left the tea pot on the table for him to have seconds of he pleased. Koi soon disappeared to tend to other customers.]
