[Quicklog] I never mind slow tagsspandexisyouthFebruary 3 2011, 01:16:58 UTC
[He'd found a small step stool that might help a bit, and quickly made his way over to the spa. Upon arriving, he was directed back. Gai knocked on the door.] Cloud?
[Quicklog] In that case, huzzah!eatenbylightFebruary 3 2011, 01:28:36 UTC
[Soon after waking up to find himself about half the height he used to be, Cloud had decided that going to work today was a bad idea. If any of the people in charge of his schedule had complaints, he'd be happy to explain just why he wasn't fit to work--it had a lot to do with not being able to reach anything.
When Youth knocked on the door, he was sprawled on his bed, petting his cat. At the knock, he scrambled to his feet and trotted over, dressed only in one of his adult-sized shirts, and cat following at his heels. He reached up (thankfully it wasn't much of a reach--he wasn't that tiny) and opened the door.
He looked up at the now very tall man, and blinked.] ...thanks.

You are welcome! [He looked down at the little Cloud and remembered exactly how hard it had been to be little. Being disregarded and unable to do a lot of things had been frustrated, and so he would do his best not to look down on Cloud.]
Can I help you get anything in particular? [Gai held out the stool.]
[Quicklog]eatenbylightFebruary 3 2011, 02:10:15 UTC
[Cloud took it, with only a little difficulty; this body was a lot weaker than his normal one. It even seemed a little weak for a child this size--but he managed the stool, at least.
And as long as Youth was here... he pointed down the hall.] I can't reach the cabinets, and it would probably be a bad idea for me to try cooking on the stove anyway.
[Quicklog]eatenbylightFebruary 3 2011, 05:56:02 UTC
[Cloud trotted along at Gai's heels, feeling a little silly he had to run to keep up. And he really had to do something about getting clothes that fit him soon...] What, are you a bad cook?
[He set the stool down in front of the stove and climbed up on it.] Hnnn... I can probably manage like this, anyway.
[Cloud glances up.] Want me to make you something?
[Since you're refusing to cook for him, he may as well offer to cook for you. As payment for the stool.]
[Gai starts to shake his head and then stops.] I do not think so, but my partner says I am.
Splendid! If you can manage, that is what is important. [He smiled at Cloud before blinking at the offer. It's a little hard to accept from someone who looks like a child and who needs help.] Possibly another time. For now I will not put extra work on you. Everything will already be more of a challenge, and I do not know if you enjoy challenges. If you are set, then I will let you be?

...I see. [Strange... did Gai mean Bell? Well, maybe their tastes just differed. Or Gai had a higher tolerance for bad cooking.]
Alright. Thanks again. [Cloud reached for one of the smaller pans. He thought he could just about manage to make an omelet like this; or if not, scrambled eggs with stuff in it was just as tasty.]

No, I think that'll be it. [Cloud could see Gai was itching to leave, and he'd already thanked him a few times. He bowed back at the man, a tad belatedly, before he hopped down from the stool and started to rummage through the fridge. Luckily everything he needed there was within his reach--if only barely, in a few cases.
He could manage. Thankfully. He wasn't afraid to ask for help, but being a burden on others... it bothered him. Especially now, when this body was so small and had the potential to be such a burden... well, he wasn't going to be a burden, that was all there was too it.]

[He couldn't get himself breakfast.]

[He started on in pulling things from the top shelves, setting them down on the counter.] What else?
