I really thought it was going to happen. I really did. I thought I was going to get part 1 of Book 4 of The Rat Series posted yesterday! Then I kept falling asleep... It was already half done, so thought it would be a piece of cake to get it done.
Have not been sleeping well at all. My usual 3-1/2 hours that I had been managing have become 3-1/2 hours interrupted by pain, or noise from the baby monitor. Between mom talking in her sleep and some outside interference that makes the monitor beep or squeal. I finally seem to get into a deep, more restful sleep a half hour before the alarm. Figures.
The Last Ship is by far the best thing on tv for ages. I'm totally addicted.
Stll loving the Kindle Fire. BUT, hate that the apostrophe is on the second keyboard layout instead of the main. Very inconvenient. I may have to give up contractions! I keep catching myself inserting commas instead.
Have to take mom for lab work tomorrow, and then to the doctor the following day. With the pain and lack of sleep it's been a struggle to transfer her... I just feel so weak. I dread the struggle of trying to get her safely into and out of the car. Plus I dread this second visit with her new doctor.
My brother will be arriving a week from tomorrow for two whopping days. I won't be able to look at him just in case 'looks could kill'. I'm still more than a bit confounded that he can be homeless in Colorado but not come back here and be homeless. I really need his help with mom. Especially so I could have a chance of recovering from all the injuries and strains. The house is a mess as the pain is so bad I can be on my feet for only about 15 minutes at a time unless I take massive doses of pain reliever. Which is what I do for the days I have to work. But vow to not take anything on my days off to give my stomach a break. They really do a number on it.
Well it's time to go fix some supper. She mentioned a hankerin' for grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Sounds good to me, so I stopped at the store and bought a can of soup. Dishes have piled up, which I detest. I've always been a 'clean as you go' person. I suppose I'll have to wash a pan and skillet now...
