Over the weekend, someone from another fraternity told me that they "were really mad" because Fiji "stole someone that should have been one of their pledges".

I didn't know how to respond.

Tell them you'll steal the rest if they don't quickly locate their backbones.

You tell them they're being stupid; unless Fiji is hog-tying people and forcing them into the chapter room, you're not "stealing" anyone.

What happened was that DChi gave an open bid to a guy on the Saturday night of rush almost immediately, and we gave him one three days later. He accepted the bid from Fiji almost immediately.
