Does anyone else think that C-Tools is a non-intuitive piece of shit? I like blackboard better.

I mean as everything. Actually I guess I didn't like blackboard all that much either. I hate all of it. Can't someone come up with a better way to do this?

i do think i only like ctools in comparison to blackboard which is making me want to die. people are really into putting things i need in 17 different folders and zipping them and making it incompatible with my mac and maybe it's just grad school that is overwhelming, but i like to blame blackboard exclusively.

i have one professor who uses blackboard only as a tool to email us and he attaches what we need to those emails and then stores them on blackboard. he also does not use lecture overheads or powerpoint and he lectures off a bare bones sheet of paper that he has like 6 words scribbled on. for almost 3 hours. and he's totally engaging. come back old styles! i love old styles!

I've never used Blackboard, so I can't compare the two. CTools did have some really non-intuitive aspects, though. Lots of things that were supposed to be links/buttons were dull blue-gray colors, and very tiny-easy to overlook.

Count your blessings, over here we have a system called "Moodle". The name alone tells you how much it suck-a-doodles. :-(

Who are you, mysterious commentator? I have a feeling you showed me a picture of your baby? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

I only show pictures of baby's with no arms that are from mars. If so, you are correct.

The Sakai Foundation is devoting more efforts to usability:
Building a Better Sakai

(CTools runs on/basically is Sakai.)

Yeah. It stinks. I think the biggest problem is the SCROLLING. You never know what sort of button lurks below--and usually it is something you need, but you never knew that you needed it. And the Discussions!! OMG it took me like 15 minutes to figure out how to post something. Every icon click takes you somewhere unexpected.
