I landed in St. Louis without a hitch. Got the rental car, and I began exploring the world of Mark Twain, along the Mississippi river. Missouri and Illinois still retain that postcard "Norman Rockwell" America image. I hope the midwest was welcoming. I spent the last four years in north central Missouri, and before that in northern Illinois. (So, indeed, I might know where you are.) Sometimes, I miss it.
