I don't mind admitting that I feel a total emotional wreck this evening.

1) Sister has pre-eclampsia and she will be having the baby tomorrow by c section.

2 The dog has eaten some poison and she has been on a drip at the vet.

God willing all will be well but it doesn't help being several thousand mile away to put it mildly.

We have a new director of studies and I'm not sure if I like her. She's far, far, far too businesslike and efficient... Goodness knows what will happen but I think there is going to be civil war at school considering we are all too individualistic to enjoy that sort of thing.

I'll be fine when I'm settled in, but right now I feel sad about going again. I wish there were a little more stability in my life and that I were in a position to give more time and help to my folks but the fact is I am not and I don't think I will be for some time to come. I am officially ignoring the olympics. It's a huge waste of money for the national vanity at a time of austerity when services are being cut left, right and centre. I don't think its going to add anything to the national coffers and I am disguated at the corporate sponsership. Finally I am deeply cross that it is such a London event. I seem to have lost a lot of my taste for writing. I don't know what this is, I think it's partly due to facebook, partly due to the fact that after seeming to wait for so many years for life to begin I am finally living it and partly fear because I have been neglecting writing. EBIL had been threatening to take sister to court over 'denying access' (completely ignoring the fact that he is an alcoholic and sister most reasonably refused to allow niece to spend the night there because she was afraid he'd do something stupid.

I can but hope the courts are resonable and that it gives the fucker the shock he so badly needs.
