as this is how i sleep... except the problem that always arises is this... wtf do you do with your right arm? (as i'm always on the right) i mean really.. i find this to be deeply disturbing as sometimes i wish i had a detachable arm.. which vaguely reminds me of a song from the early 90's called detachable penis.. but king missile i think? so.. yeah, I've never figured out the arm thing - it really bugs me. And yet I still sleep on my side. go figure.

Damn arm thing. I always feel silly when I have to ask myself, "how do I usually manage? Where do I put my arm?" Jeez...I mean, I've been sleeping for 20-some years now, you'd think that'd be enough time to figure it out, right?
I'm reassured to find that other people find it baffling, too.

I think, Cort, you've summed up the problem beautifully. :)
SO's complicate things terribly. It seems that just when both of you are really comfortably aligned, one person finds their arm starting to tingle unpleasantly. I theorize that the problem is worse when you're overtired, and maybe therin lies a clue. Hm.

I have to sleep holding onto a pillow (preferably a squishy one), which helps my arms to be in a comfortable position. Without a pillow, I have a really really hard time falling asleep. Almost impossible, actually.

It's nice to see you around! I was just thinking about you and wondering how things are going for you. I'm hoping all is lovely!

arms are a problem. the worst is when you're half awake, realize that you can't feel your arm, and start waving it about and hitting hard objects with it to get it to wake up. i'm never satisfied with the results.
and i think you're the only person who's got this problem with my phone. it's really bizarre. try sending a text message to the same number to see what happens?
