January - I brought in the new year with Brent Lee and school started back to end my sophomore year in a very boring way. I did manage to get a dog, my lab who is now my baby. I also managed to make my yearly trip to the hospital this month with a stomach virus. That was definetly not really a happy thing.
February - I got my license, yay! I ended up sick again and spent Valentine's Day lying in bed, but Brent and I celebrated after school. Softball started and I managed to save a dying dog.
March - Softball was fully underway and Brent was very busy with baseball and going to the fire department. Nothing overly exciting happened.
April - We ordered class rings and Brent and I had been dating for 2 years. Softball had managed to start sucking at this point. Prom was on the 23 and it was much better than the previous prom. I actually enjoyed it, with exception of the exploding chocolate fountain.
May - School started rolling to an end. I watched some baseball and just chilled out.
June - The seniors graduated :( and I left for the beach, which wasn't really all that exciting. Brent and I broke up on the 16, but I won't get into any details.
July - I saved some turtles and attempted to find a life of my own. Meg and I spent a lot of time at the ballfield and my baby cousins both turned one. I did work some and my nerves really started to get to me at this point.
August - I hauled butt to Charolettesville and loved it. School started and appeared easy at first.
September - Classes managed to really put a strain on me. I realized how jerky some guys can be, and the poor juniors WRONGFULLY lost homecoming. *sigh* But I did manage to start dance calss, go "camping," go to Fontana Village, go to nearly all of Norton's football games and go on a date with Brent!
October - Brent and I started dating again on the 2nd and things were much, much better. We both seemed to have grown up quite a bit over the summer. Awww. And by this time, I wanted to kill the drama class and I realized that there is far too much drama in high school.
November - Rachel turned 17!! The one act play competition turned out to be a nightmare. I honestly can't even talk about how sucky it was. However, things with Brent and I were running smoothly. Him being at college was kinda hard, but we survived. Thanksgiving break was wonderful. Spending time with the fam and with Brent in Gatlinburg was great.
December - Classes ended and I managed to survive this big, bad semester. We girls had our annual Christmas party, which was great and Brent Lee came home to stay for a month. I spent the days leading up to Christmas at get-togethers and Christmas itself was busy, but great. This month, Becca turned 17 and Courtney turned 21. I spent New Year's Eve at Brent's house watching movies and watching Brent and Logan shoot off fireworks.
My New Year's Resolution for 2005: No matter how far from, or how close to someone I am, I will be true to my heart. I think I did quite well with this. Brent and I broke up for a while and it was a real test of character. But I knew that I missed him, so I followed my heart to do it. I don't feel like I sucked up to anyone and I just did what needed to be done. 2005 was nice.
