If I had it my way, the headlines of Amazon's recommended list would be something like this...
Coming fresh from the Incredibly Easy labs is the new title "Life Made Incredibly Easy!".
It's too bad that the people who really need their lives to be simpler, probably wont be able to afford this book. What would make our lives incredibly easy?
- Shorter commutes,
- mandatory happy dances for profs,
- books that didn't max out our credit cards,
- lectures that weren't in caves,
- classes that didn't start before the sun came out,
- rooms that weren't freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer,
- free food for everyone who went through an entire day without tripping or falling on their face while being crushed by their backpacks (mmmm....carrot sticks....)
- extra credit for those who show up after winning battles with the all mighty weather
- Nurses that actually gave us the time of day
- non-crappy spring like weather...actual spring weather is too much to ask
- death to care plans
- note cards being allowed during HA oral exams (mmmmm....note cards....)
- time to be ourselves and do the things that made us different from the world of mindless workaholics
-
I'm sure this list could go on and on....and I'm equally sure that some of these things make no sense to most of you...it's a Nursing student thing. And it's universal. It's that feeling of working towards a greater cause...achieving the 1st step stone that leads to your purpose in life...it's an indescribable feeling full of frustrations and confusion. It's how you feel when you're standing on a 4 way street and you have to cross both ways to get to class...but your just standing there looking lost and confused because you can't decide which way to cross first. Yes, that's a true story. Your mind is so numb from all the worries of life that simple decisions...well i guess at that point there are no simple decisions.
It's when you feel your brain just sitting there...looking like a pile of green goop and you can't just use the defibrolater to wake the damn thing up. Yea, this isn't something you fix with a shot of Starbucks. (wow, apparently Starbucks is in the LJ dictionary but not defibrolater...)
Ok well that's my rant for today...i'm going to get back to studying. Sorry there haven't been any solid updates for psp/ps. I would expect some over Easter break. Um...I'm thinking along the lines of a new brush pack.
Stay tuned!
