If you are going to put the effort into creating a secret, you may wish to make it readable. Filtering the text through multiple different layers in a photo editing program just to get the message is a waste of time.

Truthfully, I am surprised I was first to point it out. I suppose others are just content to look past the secret and continue on.

I suppose so. Though similar secrets appear rather often, so pointing it out every time gets to be redundant.
