A love goddess? I didn't think there would be a divine being for a specific emotion such as that-- the Divine Maiden loved everybody if I do recall correctly. So this must mean the person who made the eight secret is also a love goddess then!

Does this love goddess have to perform this act as part of their duty since they claim they do not regret such actions?

I'm... not sure that's how it works. Technically the person in question was the goddess of the past. She just had a strange sense of humor, and that's hardly limited to deities.
