I feel so...dirty.

So since I got this "new" computer, I've been going hog-wild with CC. The downloads folder went from around 1GB to almost 5GB in the past few days. The scary thing is that it's mostly objects, both buy and build mode, NOT space-eating stuff like hair, so I've downloaded a lot of files. Like, a shit-ton of them ( Read more... )

Hopefully this small improvement might make you feel slightly better about your shameful behavior. ):

Funny you should say that because that fix of Honeywell's was what made me realize that I really needed those desktop-sized easels back! *laugh* So...IT'S ALL HONEYWELL'S FAULT! Not mine. Never mine. No no no no no... :)

I did the same thing a couple of days back and felt like I was sifting through a septic tank for some lost pearls. I checked the booty first to see if what I wanted was there, nope. I had to dip my hand into TSR. I think I got AnoeskaB's easels off the Booty though.

$2! I mentioned simcity 4 to the hubs for Christmas, but I think I'm getting Into the Future. Hope it works!

Yeah, $2. There's this awesome thrift shop/used bookstore just off the boardwalk here that also sells movies and video games and computer software, old stuff on VHS and some very old computer software, like stuff that's on 5.25" floppy disks. Nothing in the shop is guaranteed to work, so you're buying "as is," but there's hardly anything that costs more than $3, so it's not like you're out a lot of money if you buy something that doesn't work. I was digging around in the bins of software in the shop -- It's all disorganized, but I love that about it; it's like digging for gold -- and found SC4, the "Deluxe" version, which I've gathered means that it includes Rush Hour. It didn't have the manual with it, just the CD in a generic jewel case, so I had to go online to find a pirated serial #, but that was no big deal. I finally got around to installing it yesterday afternoon and...It works! (They also had a copy of TS3 basegame for $5...but I didn't buy it. I'm sure this machine would run it, but...meh ( ... )

Yeah, I've gathered that Tumblr is really "meant" for pictures, so I would hope they make it easy to post them! So, I'm thinking that if I take the plunge, I might use it to put up lots for download, when I can be arsed to deal with the pain-in-the-assery of making sure all the CC is included/documented/credited. Since lots tend to require a number of pictures to convey well, it'd make sense to use a format that's actually meant for pictures. I'm still contemplating, but I'm leaning toward taking the plunge. I think. :)

Don't feel too bad either. I had to download darn near everything cyclonesue made after it went free. I LOVE grungy, dirty, rundown stuff!

*laugh* See, I'm not really into grungy, myself. My Sim world seems to be entirely shiny-new, and I seem to like it that way. But I do like some of CycloneSue's stuff. Like those curved walls, which I used to use a lot inside to create interesting room shapes. And now that I've gotten into making my own recolors, I can think of many things to do with them. Because, y'know, what I really need is more recoloring projects. :)

My sims are all over the place, grungy, shiny-new, classic, future, steampunk...it all depends on my mood, lol. Some of my favorite things of her's is the Industrial Age sets, they are great for when I want a repurposed building, like an old factory turned into a home :)
