All right. Last week's turnout wasn't so good, but we did get one fic from supersaiyaginny, so that's good. Stories can still be turned in today, if you can write quickly or are almost done ( Read more... )

I'm a Discworld nut, but it's been a long time since I read Hitchhiker's, so as as long as we don't need way too much in-depth knowledge on it, I'm game. As to today's challenge, off to work I go... *Must get dwarf woman out of system...*

I'd give extra points for using a non-human race/species/status in a fandom that has them. Bevause that would be very hard to manage.

I'd write a Hellsing vampire OC but I don't think I have time. (Wait, I did... fic was baddish but not Sue-ish. Hmmmm...)

Do old stories count? calico321 November 22 2004, 03:59:06 UTC
Do we have to come up with stuff specifically for the challenge, or can we sibmit already-published fics?

I think I can do this one. Digimon Frontier fandom, a girl with a crush on the often abused and usually ignored character of Shibayama Junpei. If he gets any romance with a non-canon female, it's usually because it's one of those "every one gets a girlfriend/boyfriend" things, and his canon crush is wiped away pretty cleanly. (And since I like that canon crush and like them together, that crush won't be ignored in my fic.) Don't know about the popular music, since I don't usually bother with it myself, but just writing the poor guy in character will more than likely satisfy the dare about disproving/dispelling a common bit of fanon. I've already got enough ideas for a three-part small series, but I don't know if I can get it all done in a week. But I should be able to get the first chapter done, at least.

For something else...maybe an extra point if the OC does not actually "get together" with the canon/a canon? Maybe a date or a crush, but not an actual kiss/romance? Honestly, canon/OC friendship is as hard to find as canon/ ( ... )
