❥ The Basics.

❥ Appearance.
Yuuko is a tall elegant Japanese woman. She appears to be in her early or mid twenties, but is at least over a hundred years old. While it is hard to pin an exact height, she seems to be around 5'10" or possibly even 5'11". Yuuko has a very delicate looking frame, but she is still very beautiful. Her eyes are bright ruby color to contrast with her long straight black hair. Perhaps the most noticeable attribute of her figure is her large bust. Many of her outfits seem to capitalize on this fact even if she never really refers to their size or manner.
Her style ranges from anything to everything. She seems to no tbe limited by any color or design, though traditionally she wears some form of kimono or yukata. Her defining outfit, however, would be that of what she wears to welcome people of different worlds. Her figure is dressed in black with white trims, the dress splitting down the middle to reveal her long legs and boots. Her hair would be put up, a bar with two pieces of cloth that fall from either end with a black crescent moon on it. ❥ Personality.
Yuuko is a woman of many, many layers. On the surface she is a playful and almost absurd person who enjoys nothing but making her workers miserable. This includes sending them on seemingly pointless errands and drinking alcohol all day or night long. She'd find any excuse she could in order to open beer, whine, any type of alcohol. She will also smoke when inside her own dwellings. Yuuko at first glance can be seen as a lazy drunkard who is a con artist.
She is also very mysterious. Her clever wit allows her to escape any conversation in which she can't give an answer to.. by usually, using her playful nature. However this doesn't mean she is unintelligent - exactly the opposite. As the Dimensional Witch, Yuuko is very much able to see people's futures and their pasts, if given the proper payment and the need to. Even those who come from other worlds, Yuuko is able to tell of their deeds and where they could end up if their ways weren't changed. Though due to being unable to cross the lines of interferance, she may only elude to what they have done or will do. It can be quite unnerving.
Though even below her playful nature and her mysterious nature, Yuuko is a very lonely woman. Due to the position she holds of the Dimensional Witch, she hardly can live a normal life. It seems those she makes friends with and cares for through granting her wishes always leave once their help has been given. Of course having all the knowledge of people's choices and being unable to share this knowledge would weigh on your mind just as much. She seems to never confined her problems to another - possibly because it would cross those boundaries she works by.
Finally, Yuuko is a mentor and a mother figure. Despite the hardships, confusion, and sorrow those she knows may go through, she is a comforting figure. She offers to listen to others problems even if she cannot give words to comfort. She shares their sorrow, their happiness. After all the only thing she can give is her feelings. Anything else becomes something that someone must return of equal amount.
❥ Abilities/Strengths/Weakness.
Abilities/Strength;
Yuuko's strongest ability is her knowledge. By understanding people, she can understand what they may choose and what they could choose. And by understanding that she can carefully attempt to steer them into a path that would benefit them. Of course people still have their own will and thus will ultimately choose what to do. Yuuko is also able to cross the dimensions herself, and create Gods if it is the wish of her customers.
If it were not for her great restrain that she has, it would seem as if she purposely manipulates people. Of course she also has a great knowledge of the paranormal world, sometimes seen as myths of worlds. This means however she can 'see' people's bad habits (sins, things along those lines). They appear as black smoke around that person, which she can try to offhandedly point out to the person in hopes they will discover this habit.
But she is also a grand sorceress. Yuuko has the ability to manipulate Time and Space (dimensions/worlds). However the only time she is able to do such a thing without retribution is when another wishes it. Yuuko is a wish granter - but you must pay an equal price to your wish. If this can be done, than Yuuko can even go to the extent of cutting worlds from the flow of time so that they will not corrupt other time flows.
Weaknesses;
For her great power, there are great restraints on it. As the Witch who seemingly can control the time - Ichihara Yuuko cannot, herself, change time or people's destinations. Any knowledge or power she has that could affect time can only be given or used when granting the wish of another. It has a great toll on her, as she must watch people suffer through their choices without being able to help beyond comforting them. This has been used against her many times. Once a person of great power realizes what her limitations are, they tend to plan around them in order to trap her from weaving through their plans.
Yuuko also cannot give anything more than her emotions/feelings. Anything of physical value would be, by her nature of a wish granter, considered a transaction. Thus the person who received it would need to give something of exact equal value. Which is why for birthdays and celebrations she merely opens her home for the party and enjoys partying with them.
Though the one thing Yuuko cannot due, even with her amass power, is that of bringing a person back to life. While it isn't explained where the soul goes - Yuuko cannot bring it back from that place. It pains her just as much as it pains her 'customers', but there is little she can do about that.
❥ History.
Ichihara Yuuko's past is hardly known. At some point, however, she came into the mantle of the Dimensional Witch and began to grant wishes for those who needed them. Following this she met the great sorcerer Clow Reed. Clow, who had dreamed of a descendant of his, was greatly disturbed by what the future could behold. Together the Witch and the Sorcerer created the key instruments that would help defeat Clow Reed's decendant: Mokona=Modoki. These two creatures were miniatures of the powerful being named Mokona who could cross dimensions.
The two were named Soel and Larg. Yuuko and Clow took turns teaching the two everything they would need to know to start the journey. And when the time came, Clow put them to sleep and Yuuko kept them in her shop. It was sometime after this that Clow Reed passed away. Yuuko was greatly saddened, and still is, of Clow's passing. She admired and loved him. But she reminds herself and others that no matter how hard they wish - those that are dead cannot come back.
Yuuko eventually met the man named Fei Wong Reed. He wished to return someone from the dead; something that not even the great Clow Reed could do. Despite telling him that it was impossible to do so, Fei Wong began his plot. He picked the young girl named Sakura to spread her feathers (her memories) across the dimensions to make a map of them. However this alerted several powerful people, and even Kinomoto Sakura and Syaoran Li's son crossed the dimensions through Yuuko's help in order to stop Fei Wong Reed.
However because of his affection for this other Sakura, Syaoran's son wished to turn back time in order to save her from dieing. Yuuko granted the wish by rewinding time and making it so that the world of Clow Country would be cut off from time. But the price was that Syaoran's son had to give his freedom, and re-age (his time). Since there had to be someone in order to take the place of Syaoran, Watanuki Kimihiro was created. Yuuko arranged for Watanuki to return to Sakura and Syaoran - who knew their son's fate and embraced Watanuki as their son... since he was.
Years passed. Watanuki came to Yuuko's shop, knowing that his other self intended to defeat Fei Wong Reed. He paid his memories in order for Yuuko to be able to send his other self and his friends to where Fei Wong Reed was. Yuuko agreed to grant his wish and would watch sadly as Watanuki again came to the shop with no memories of their previous encounter. Except this time, Watanuki wished that the could no longer see the spirits that would follow him around.
As it was part of her and Clow's plan in order to stop Fei Wong, she granted the wish. His payment would be that he worked part time at her shop. Through him meeting so many people and growing they hoped that Watanuki would wish to exist. As long as he did that then the distortion of time would remain and Watanuki's other self could go to defeat Fei Wong Reed. But Watanuki became much of a son to Yuuko, herself changing as well.
