Birthday was relatively quiet, which is exactly what I wanted. Though I'm not so sure looking back now, mostly I think I just miss my mother's homemade birthday cakes. It's been years, but I still remember how she'd always let me have a spoonful of the chocolate cake batter

If you really want to someone to make you can cake that badly, got down to the kitchens and have the house elves do it.

Dummkopf , if I wanted a cake from the kitchens I would've gotten one. My mother made the best Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte, those pathetic house elves wouldn't do it justice.

Oh! Happy (belated) birthday!

If you want a cake, I'd be more than willing to make one for you :) The House Elves let me have free-reign over the kitchen, and sometimes it's more satisfying to have a cake made for you by another person than by elves!

Mmmm yes, that is very true. Elves do a decent job of preparing food, but it's always better when it's made from scratch with caring hands.

Ohh? I can make amazing muffins. I do most of the cooking at home, Aunt Bathilda is better off writing her books. Her meals are less than satisfactory.
