Yes, it definitely can hurt her baby. Maybe not because she is depressed, but because depression can interfere with her eating and taking care of herself properly. Not getting good nutrition or enough rest isn't good for the baby, and even too much stress affects her child.
I have experienced pregnancy and childbirth and I had a lot of stress and depression come over me, and I have a very healthy, happy child and had a good child birth. Being afraid of hurting your baby because you are sad sometimes is probably worse.
True, but if your depression is interfering with staying healthy and causing anxiety attacks, it's good to realize that you need to get help for yourself.
You're going to be okay and so is your baby you'll make it in the end and everything will be okay. This is going to sound preachy so I'm sorry..have you tried calling the United Way? or First Call for Help? They can help you get incontact with some agencies that can provide aid to you. I never thought all my mom's preaching to me about how wonderful First Call and the United Way are would ever come in use. But you really should give them a call. The number at United Way is 422-4100 and all you have to do is ask for First Call for Help, then they can help you. Sorry I didn't call you last night I watched Kill Bill and then fell asleep. I didn't know I was that tired. I'm here if you need me, okay? ♥ ♥ < you get 2 hearts because I love you that much! ^_^ Christine
