The Hillbilly Whisperer strikes again... (Justified thoughts)
I'm going to have to put my thoughts on last night's Justified behind a cut.
Yeeeeeaaaaa....
So, when exactly did Winona become such a terrible character?
Wait, let's concentrate on The Good first. And by The Good, I mean the squeeable Raylan/Winona stuff.
- Him reaching out and picking the hair from Winona's sweater, which gave me an incredible flashback the the baby discussion from the other week. That whole conversation with them talking about babies and rockin chairs on the porch. SO CUTE.
- THE INTENSE LOOK ON RAYLAN'S FACE WHILE HE WATCHED THE BANK VIDEO. I WANTED TO HAVE SEX WITH MY TELEVISION. NO LIE.
And I'm pretty sure that's all I got on that front. When you look at all other aspects of the episode it was just horrible. GUH.
- I've never been the biggest Gary fan (shocker, I know) but he's NOT a total moron, especially when it comes to real estate. So we open the episode with him randomly investing everything in a horse?? o_0 I know it was just this giant plot device to make Gary seem like a complete bumbling idiot which makes Raylan even more awesome, but it was so random that it just became unbelievable. Plus, Raylan IS awesome. Give him a worthy opponent and I will be even more impressed.
- This episode was so bipolar. It was like 4 different plotlines threw up and then they randomly pieced them back together. It was just... weird. I don't want to watch it again. Really.
- I do so love Boyd Crowder. And, as the majority of fandom seems to think, Ava is MUCH more likable now that she's not all googly-eyed over Raylan. More power too her :D
- And then there was Winona. WHAT. THE. FUCK. There was always the whole argument from the first season about how she was being manipulative when it came to her relationship with Raylan. I was willing to ignore that because... well, it's Natalie Zea Winona. And then the two of them were so naked and pretty and talkin about babies!! But then this episode happened and, I'm sorry, isn't Winona a LAWYER? And she randomly takes a $100 bill out of evidence? AND TO THE BANK? AND THEN USES RAYLAN TO CLEAN UP THE MESS?? UMM, WHAT, I'M SORRY, WHAT??? And I've watched her explanation a half dozen times and I just... don't get it. Wanted to see if it was counterfeit or something?

And I don't even know what to think with that preview.
Here's what I propose:
- More naked Raylan/Winona. More baby!talk. Less manipulation.
- More of the Bennett storyline. That freaky hillbilly clan makes for some fucking awesome television.
- More Dewey Crowe. Oh, Deputy Dewey.
- MOAR NEKKID RAYLAN/WINONA WITHOUT THE DRAMA LLAMA BUSTING INTO THE SCENE. DID I MENTION THAT ALREADY?? OK, GOOD, JUST WANTED TO ESTABLISH THAT SHIT.
