Munich?

Hello flist!

Random question buuuuut is anyone here (or know anyone) in Munich?  A friend of mine is going to Ocktoberfest and is worried about getting around the city (she doesn't speak any German).  She's younger and in college, very worried about being out there solo.

not in Munich, sorry, but tell her not to worry. We Germans tend to bombard tourists with our more or less accurate English, whenever we find one who asks us for help. :-) Also, I am pretty sure that the Oktoberfest will be easy to find (not that I have ever been there, way too many people *shudder*) and it is probably all made ready for tourists, I know a lot of Americans or Australians tend who went there to have a look.

Probably not helpful but I'm sure she'll be fine if she stays clear of the drunk people.
