I feel your pain, though - I missed the deadline for signing up for a fest in another fandom because I thought it was too early to start. And Yultide is getting increasingly more random - I barely can pick out the minimum number to offer because I just don't know the fandoms. Plus I tend to get obsessed about one or two fandoms at a time.

Same here. I have this one-fandom-at-a-time thing.

I spoke with the mod (pleaded, begged...). There was another person who'd missed the deadline. So siennavie took pity on us and opened up a "round two" for the sign-ups.

I begged and pleaded with siennavie. rabidfan asked on my behalf, too. Siennavie decided that since another person had also missed the sign-up, maybe she hadn't given enough time.

SGA Santa's the only thing I do in fandom right now. So I guess my reaction was rather exaggerated because ... it was everything, my whole fandom world, yanked out from under me.

And now it's back. *beams like a happy flower*

Yes. But SGA Santa's special. You know, I've done it for the last 8 years? Even when I've written nothing else, I've kept up with it.

But good news. siennavie took pity on us latecomers (she decided that maybe there hadn't been enough time for word to spread about the new comm). So she opened up a "round two" for the sign-ups!
