Just back from the hospital.

Got in a car accident tonight. Just back from the hospital.

The x-rays show my foot's fine, just sprained. My car ... didn't look good.

I've resisted getting a cell phone. Really, you don't need one for emergencies because everyone has a cell phone

The important thing is that you're okay, or will be once you heal the sprain. I'm grateful for that.

As for cell phones, I have a cheap arse one just for emergencies and I've never had to use it because, as you say, everyone else has one, so I consider it a waste of money. *g*

That's what I've noticed. People always tell me these far-fetched, worst case scenarios... "What if you're in a bad neighborhood in Detroit...." Well, what would I be doing there? By that logic, we should all have life preservers in the trunk. What if my car is caught in a flood?

The sprain is doing better, or at least once I got some rest. But I had to be on it too much today, taking care of the car.

But a nifty cell phone is a good thing, especially for making phone calls in an emergency.

A burner phone is good enough for emergencies. People always sell you on cell phones with these far-fetched fear scenarios. When I finally wanted one was when I was bored and needed a toy.
