bacon?? aren't you a vegetarian too? (though I confess I still have a fondness for bacon)

Thanks for the good wishes. More time in bed = more time to reread Little Dee vol. 1 & 2 (no, really, that's what I was doing this afternoon, laughing through the pain in my larynx.)

Life-long vegetarian. But it was the worst thing I could think of, and sometimes it takes thinking outside the box to make progress in a query of blah blah blah etc etc. :)

cocktail of my dreams right now! I'm going to improvise with some canadian whiskey that happens to be in the pantry (darn OLCC, stores not being open until a reasonable hour). Thanks!

Having been there many times before, you're on the right track. If you've tried the honey/lemon/tea regimen and such that's about as best in the food arena you'll do to help your throat. Sounds like your vocal cords are just inflamed and infected. Best thing to do honestly is keep yourself well rested (sleep as MUCH as possible, the more time your body has to repair itself, the better), well nourished, and rest your vocal cords as much as possible. No talky. If you MUST speak, sometimes an ibuprofun can reduce some of the swelling and inflammation that makes your vocal chords too big and angry to work. Really, resting up for both your vocal chords and your whole body is the best bet ( ... )

Thanks, hon! I'm starting to mend now, and I don't have to work again til Monday so I'll rest as much as possible between now and then.

Was opening night yesterday? Hope it all worked out.
