So I got my vocab quiz back in Korean, and I lost a point. Why?

I wrote "To hear a noise" instead of "To hear a sound."

Is that one of those professors who take points off if you don't have THEIR definition memorized? I hear stories about people like that.

Lame. Even if it's for one point, I would see the professor about that.

Also it might have also been some grad student grading it instead of the professor, and not paying attention. (Although I seriously don't know how for this. Maybe no sleep and going by rote.)
