Jen walked out of the library and paused for a moment, looking down at her stomach as it growled furiously. She had been doing homework for almost 2 1/2 hours now, and she hadn't eaten anything since lunch, though she only had a piece of bread, for she wasn't hungry

"Hungry, much?" Kevin said after swallowing, turning to face Jen.

Jen's hair whipped to the side as she turned her head and stared at Kevin like a deer in headlights. She swallowed her food before laughing.

"Oh, yeah. I am."

Kevin laughed cheerfully. "Hard day?" he asked conversationally.

"Yeah," said Jen with a nod. "I've been cooped up in the library all day," she told him.
