So I figured that I would update this with what I actually did this past weekend in New York City.

We left Thursday and took a ferry from Delaware to New Jersey. We stayed at the Double Tree in Time Square. The first night we basically wandered around Time Square. I got pictures of some of the billboards for shows.

Coming from a family of firefighters, that was the part that got me on 9/11. Not like the rest of it didn't hit me hard, but anything about firefighters dying in the line of duty always knocks me flat and the sheer number of firefighters who lost their lives that day...it really was the thing that drove home the magnitude of the entire tragedy.

It took all that I had not to break down when I saw the mural. My family is almost 100% military, so anyone in a uniform = family to me.
