I have never once been ashamed of my birth or background. This is the first time I felt I had to apologize for being born to what I was, and I wonder if anyone is worth feeling like I ought to have been born with less. I may not have direction but I've worked to earn my achievements, and I will not apologize for it.

You don't ever have to apologize for something you were born with, whether advantangeous or disadvantageous. It's good to be aware of it, and that your life is different than others (either harder or easier), but still.

And fuck anyone who makes you think you have to apologize for it.
