That brief contact brought back a wealth of memories, and it was a long moment before he could will himself to move. “Excuse me,” he muttered, turning back around and pushing his way through the crowd, hoping to get away quick before Steve could follow him.

He'd seen the recognition on the man's face hadn't he? The dismay and sickly feeling, right? Or was his mind just playing more tricks on him and making up crap just to feed his desperate need to see his best friend again. Whatever the case, Steve couldn't just leave things like this, couldn't just let him disappear into a crowd once more.

Unfortunately, facing yet another night along had the mutant's resolve breaking and he hopped a flight to New York City. Once he hit Brooklyn, the mutant started to hunt his quarry down, a feat all of its own with millions of people around confusing the scent. Bucky had told him about some of his more favored restaurants though so he started to track him that way.
