Bye bye Xmas
Well Xmas is over for another year...
Ryan and I did the usual visits to his relations before heading to a friends house for a nice mellow xmas evening. Yesterday involved a number of people coming over to our already really messy house, of course more mess ensued and six hours of cleaning today and we have still not done all of the rooms... oh well at least it is a hell of a lot better. Plus each of the bedrooms has finally had pillows and duvets aired and are now awaiting clean sheets.
This year we decided not to do gifts to each other. Mostly because we are both broke, but it didn't matter, I'm sure we would just forget in a year's time! Got some small gifts from my parents plus some money. Ryan got the same amount of money as me this year and was very shocked. He doesn't really like receiving money, I think he feels that he's taking something that we don't need, so I try to point out that they only send the equivalent of what they would have spent, plus they like to do so because they are always helping my sisters out in little ways throughout the year and with us being so far away they have to save it up. I'm sure they will be again offering to get us stuff when they are here in a few weeks time too. So its just to decide what to do with the money really, it would be very easy to buy something frivolous like an Xbox... we don't actually need one, but you know, we don't buy these sorts of things so its nice to be able to do so with gift money. I'm also thinking of getting a tattoo so I have to go and see our friend about designing me one and find out how much it will cost.
Whilst its the xmas break we really need to sort out looking at and booking a venue for our wedding next year. So we have to sit down and work out what we are going to do. If we don't get it done we won't get a venue.
Not much else to really mention here... I have some new year's resolutions that I want to do this year. Plus as I will have finished college after this paper I will have the time to spend doing things I want. Of course I do still have an assignment to work on that is due in a weeks time, so that is on the cards for the next couple of days. I think it will only take a couple of good days of work to do.
