I always thought she was beautiful in her own way, with her lop-sided markings and being over-weight. My Pepper.
Thank you so much!
I'm actually considering fluid treatment. I'd have to inject her 3 times a week with fluid, since kidney disease dehydrates the body. It can give her an extra few months, or a few years.
If I could, I'd keep her with me forver. She's my baby, and I vividly recall the day I got her, the night I lost my 14 year-old cat and we had to move here, and she kepy me company through the night. Most importantly, all those times I was upset, and she was the one I turned to first to curl up and cry on.
I want you to think about what's best for both of you. Pepper would want you to be ready too and if you're not, she'd want to wait until it was. Also, I think you should try or discuss treatment, sometimes treatment will really help and really leave a pet feeling a lot better and a lot like their old selves. I wish I could promise that Pepper will be feeling a million times better in a few days, but I can't. I do I think that it's worth trying the treatment because you don't know how it will work until you try. Another month of your cat feeling good might be worth it.
The fluid shot she recieved at the vet has definitely helped. She's been jumping on and off my bed all day, as yesterday before the vet visit she couldn't do that. They found she has arthritis, so that's not helping either.
I think it's really worth it, the more I read and watch videos about it. Since kidney disease dehydrates the body, the fluids revitalize them, making them more comfortable. As long as she's comfortable, and not dragging in any way, I'll go for it. She's my baby, and if I can hold onto her longer, I will.
If she starts really failing, then I refuse to prolong any suffering. I just can't do that, no matter how selfish I am and how much I want her around forever.

She seems a little better now, because of the fluid injections. She'd die of dehydration otherwise.
