Although it was shorter than planned, it seems like you enjoyed your time in Japan at the fullest. I hope you'll soon be able to complete your journey! On a side note, I realized you have so many Japanese friends! You look so close on the photos!
It's okay. We were kind of preparing for the worst. We visited her in NY on Monday and left for Japan on the Thursday that week. We no sooner arrived in Asakusa and my mom and aunt were telling us "we shouldn't have let you go, she's not doing well, you should come home." My response was kind of selfish though. I just survived a flight from hell, it was my dream trip, I didn't want to go back to USA so soon. But when we received the call in Hiroshima, I just kind of accepted it and said "That's life." She told me that she wanted us to go and she knew how much I wanted to go. There was no way she would have wanted us to stay, that's just the type of person she was
