I am not exaggerating one bit when I say this:

THIS IS THE BEST THING YOU'VE EVER WRITTEN.

Seriously.

The language is spare and perfectly placed. The characterization--awesome. Everything in this story is just PERFECT. But I think the best thing you did with it was create ATMOSPHERE. I felt like I was on the Cylon ship. I felt Melissa's confusion. The dreamy quality.

Oh my god, I'm so happy, D!! SO incredibly happy that you liked it. I had such a good feeling about it. I loved the idea so much. I AM SO HAPPY. I LOVE YOU. AND I LOVE THE PORN BATTLE. SIGH. :) :) :) :)

One part I LOVED during the series was Gaius' experience on the base star. It was amazing, haunting, the music, the environment, the questioning as to why he was there. So I felt it and went with it.

This is gorgeously written. You've also taken what could be a total crack pairing and made it beautiful and sensical within the universes of two really incompatible shows (not that we don't try, lol). And the basestar is such a provocative place to set this; I hadn't guessed this period when you'd said you were writing this pairing, and it just raises the emotional stakes and makes this really interesting.

ALSO: MELISSA SCULLY IS A CYLON!!!!1!!!1!!!!. *flails*

Thank you so much, A. When I first read the pairing I laughed and thought, idella, you have really outdone yourself. Then I got obsessed with it. Way, way obsessed.

I love Gaius' time on the base star. Love it.

I reall like this. I'm more in tune with Melissa's side of the story, but you get really well. Like Dasha said the writing is so spare but it works really well.

Hmm I really need to watch BSG!

Oh, you should get started. It's quite the show. Drama, sci-fi, sex. ;) I've been watching the old seasons via Netflix over the past month, and I'm almost caught up.
