I've always attached a really negative connotation to being homesick. I mean, why can't you just be happy where you are and with what you're doing

that was absolutely fabulous. when i read it the first time i just paused and smiled. and then realized just how much i missed talking to you about nothing every day while we somehow managed to get thro two ridiculous classes together. i owe you so much mc. youre so awesome and interesting and just wow. you always make me laugh and smile. always. you sexy sexy fiend.
i can sympathize with the homesickness. i had huge troubles with it up here for my first semesters--you can love this city, but it takes awhile all the same for it to feel like home, no matter how many connections you form with friends and to places around campus. it passes, but it sucks at the beginning. i didn't really start to feel like i belonged here more than in NOVA (at least, for now) until i moved into my own place this fall.
there's nothing wrong with being lonely for home. it's just one more thing to deal with, and being as far away as we are and in a foreign country, we get a double dose. i'm confident you'll manage all the same. you're a strong, capable girl and i don't see you allowing yourself to be conquered by depression. all the same, a little sadness is good. don't lose home connections completely.
sorry i haven't responded right away. I was busy with my Frisbee class. I am glad you get out so early. Maybe that way we can have more fun in September. What say you? You mean you have to go to school in August? Maybe it is to balance out with the beautiful weather in Canada during December. Too bad I won't get to compare it to Minnesota weather in December. And could it be? You don't have a spring break? Just some pathetic study week? Wow! I win again. You had just better get used to it. It happens all the time!
